It’s started!

GBCE has started and hopefully you’re all coming.  Lots of classes still available to book online or here at the show, once you’ve seen all the gorgeous samples.

 

Last minute details….

Spent the day packing kits, packing up such exciting stock, a prize box that has the most awesome prizes and goodies, and lots more.  Here’s a few last minute details as promised….

Pre-bookers

For those of you that didn’t book online, and made your bookings through the shop, your tickets will be ready for collection in the registration area of the hotel and the event.

What to bring

Scrapbookers, just bring a good selection of photos – there is no particular theme required, and you always have the option of adding your photos at home once you’ve completed the layout.

Jewellery classes – your standard tools and a beading mat (no worries if you forget or haven’t got, we have a few as well as the shops will have all these goodies)

Cardmaking and Scrapbooking classes – Classes are always easier when everyone has their basic kit so bring along your standard kit including card folding board, cutters, scissors, double sided tape, ink pads, foam squares etc.

 

Other than that, just get there and enjoy.  There’s still spaces in some of the classes too, if you fancy booking a few extra classes on the day.

 

One week to go….are you ready for GBCE?

This time next week, we’ll be all packed up and ready to go.  Time certainly has flown.  Siopa Bui looks like a warehouse stacked to the roof full of exciting kits, great new stock for the show and a sprinkling of general mayhem.  The parcels keep coming and we’ll try to post of a few pics to whet your shopping appetite.

There are still spaces in most of the classes although some of them are filling up and nearly fully booked.  If you haven’t booked yet, visit our booking site at Event Elephant.  We will also be taking bookings for classes at the show for the classes that still have tickets.

Class of the Day – Getting your Craft to Market

Getting your Craft to Market – Saturday 12.30 – 13.30 – S3B – 20 euro

Have you ever paid for a stall at a craft market and wondered why your gorgeous creations haven’t sold?  Or are you considering trying out craft fairs or markets for the first time?  Or do you want to start selling your crafts online?

This class is a mini marketing crash course.  We’ll cover everything from pricing to product to packaging.  We’ll also look at Facebook, Blogs and Etsy as selling tools.

The class will also have some time dedicated to ‘show and tell’ where we’ll have lots of samples of packaging ideas, using your craft skills and tools too.  Bring along any of your products you’ve made for ideas  and advice

The class also includes a mini marketing manual to take home.

 

Class of the Day – Winter Weddings with An Siopa Bui

All new ideas! – Winter Weddings 2011 Masterclass – Sunday 930 – 11.30 – 24 euro

This is our most popular class in the shop us a fantastic class for anyone wanting to get into making Wedding stationery, be it for a friend, family or a business.  In this mini version of the full day class we are going to try and pack as much as we can in.  We are including our all New Siopa Buí Wedding booklet which has all the info you need with regard to wordings and fonts, we will also make at least 6 invites – and explore some new folds, pre-cuts and techniques and of course get the latest fashion update for winter weddings and beyond into 2012.  We also discuss costings and how to price your invites.

For this class, don’t forget your camera!  We will have lots and lots of samples for you to take photographs of and a notebook and pen would be good too especially for the pricing tips.

Class of the day – Clarity Classroom with Kerry

Everyone loves Kerry and her classes (I’m her sister, I can write this!) both for the bonkers creativity as well the sheer entertainment factor.

Clarity Classroom is one of her midi classes (an hour and a half long, so lots more time to experiment) as well as a ‘as seen on tv’ class.  For those of you that have seen Barbara Grey, you will know how much you can do with the clarity stamps, and enjoy making all sorts of images.  We have some great ideas for Christmas cards too.

The Yellow Club at GBCE

We often get calls wanting more info about what exactly a Yellow Club is.  How does it work and how much is in the bag (lots!).  So this year we’re doing something different….

Why not book a Yellow Club Class?

You will get a full Yellow Club bag (and that is lots and lots of stuff including a free stamp!)  The bag is literally bulging.  And you will get to make a start on the 12 plus projects inside.  A great way to try it out.

We are also having a Yellow Bling Bag (jewellery) and Yellow Scrapbooking classes.   Same concept – get the full bag and get started in the class.  This may be biased but these may be some of the best value kits at GBCE.

The Crafty Queens Mini Book class has sold out.  But never fear there are still lots of other classes to choose from.  If you do want to go on the waiting list for this class, email us at gbce@hotmail.com with your mobile number, and we will allocate any spaces if they come free – first come, first served.

The Waltzing Mouse Class

Eventually….. This class is on the Sunday 9.45 – 10.45 (Sun1B).  Sandie Dunne is a the tutor is officially a Top Mouse!  That means designer for Waltzing Mouse, the stamp company that has taken the world by storm.  We are so honoured to have them with us at GBCE this year.  Join us for this class and learn how to turn these beautiful stamps into beautiful creations.  Great Kit and class prizes.

The class cost is 24 euro and booking is now open via Event Elephant.  For the pre-bookers, just ring the shop from tomorrow (Tuesday) as usual and they will be happy to take your booking.
